photon

She’s a cuddly Photon and I luff her.

I bought it from The Particle Zoo last Sunday, and I plan on wasting all my money by buying the other particles. Being the complete physics geek that I am, I won’t regret this in the slightest :P (and it’s not like I’ll need money for a social life. That means going outside. Eww.)

I think I’ll get the Strange Quark next :D

maths

A photo of my maths work, because I think it looks cool. It is the workings of the universe. Yeah, depth, I has it.

In other maths related news, I’ve done both the calculator and non-calculator GCSE paper, so now it’s only a matter of waiting for the results. I’ve already started studying for something called a free standing maths qualification, which I’ll sit around next Mayish. No, I don’t know what it is either.

Guess where I’ve been

May 31st, 2009

eiffel1

I just returned from a four day trip to Paris yesterday (not long enough to be an excuse for not blogging since the dark ages unfortunately), meaning I have lots of cool photos to post on the internet! I didn’t break the camera like the last time I used one :D

Day one: Travel via Eurostar and the Eiffel tower. Here’s a cool shot from underneath it.

eiffel2

Day two: The obligatory trip to Disneyland Paris with the slowest ride attendants IN HISTORY. Not to mention the slowest cashier IN HISTORY. The capitals are important. We told the man at the counter to get four lemonades, two Texas platters and two salads and he would go get ONE lemonade, come back and ask “What else?”. This went on after EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM. Anyway, X-Wing fighters.

One of my new favourite places on Earth: Space Mountain. The sad thing is that I recognised the Hubble photos they put on the walls where you queue. I annoyed my brother by saying, very loudly, “OMG, THAT’S A PLANETARY NEBULA!!!1!”.

spacemountain

Day Three: The Louvre. Probably would have enjoyed this more if we didn’t just rush though. I’m the only one in this family who actually likes art galleries, so we spent approximately 0.4 seconds here.

louvre

Day Four: Home and fish and chips. I was so happy to be eating something fried and full of fat after all that icky French food, which despite popular opinion, I found to be pretty crap.

Blog Neglet

April 21st, 2009

It has been TWELVE DAYS since my last blog post *gasp* So here’s a few things that have been going on in my life over the past few days (yay bullet points!)

  • I went on a school trip to Italy, which meant that I was there during the recent major earthquake. This completely freaked me out because my teacher just casually mentioned it and the next day I found out that hundreds were dead. I had no idea it was that serious. I’ll post some photos from the trip later on, but I’ve broken a camera and my phone isn’t cooperating with uploading photos :( I went to Caecilius’ house though!
  • I saw The Boat that Rocked” last week with three of my friends and LOVED it. I was so desperate to see this movie; I love the sixties. The clothes, the music and all the bright colours associated with that time and this movie didn’t disappoint. The lead guy (Carl) wasn’t hard on the eyes either :D What surprised me was that there was only about 8 other people in the cinema and I’m sure one of them was snoring.
  • I haven’t mentioned the new Doctor Who yet! I think I liked it. The Doctor was being a tremendous dork with his chocolate easter egg and Malcolm is my new husband. I also quite liked Christina despite her snogging the Doctor when he is clearing MOURNING FOR ROSE. Although there is one EPIC PLOT HOLE the size of Belgium. If the Doctor could phone UNIT, why didn’t he just tell them to send a tank through the wormhole and collect them?
  • Ashes to Ashes is back :D And the Gene Hunt quote of the week is… “Get your knickers on, you’re nicked!”

5 Favourite iPod apps

April 9th, 2009

(Psst. Here’s my Doctor Who reaction post)

The Wooo Button
This is the single most useless application created but still manages to entertain me for at least 20 minutes (which practically defies the laws of physics for me). It is a button on your iPod Touch/iPhone that says “wooh” when you press it. Wooo!

I can has cheezburger?
Now I can look at lolcats, epic fails and graphs whereever I want. It shows you the latest posts from I can has cheezburger?, Fail blog, Graph Jam and some others that I don’t care about.

Free Noughts and Crosses
Thanks to this app, I’ve been able to perfect my noughts and crosses technique so that I can win every time. Muhahaha! It also allows you to name player 2 if you are playing in one player mode. I’ve beaten the Doctor 40 times.

Flashlight App
There are lots of these sort of apps. They show a bright white screen that you can use to see in the dark. The version I have also shows flashing colours so you can give people seizures! *wooh buttons*

Lightsaber Unleashed
It makes your iPod make lightsaber noises when you move it.

iMahjong Free
I am crap at this game. I’ve only ever finished it once. But it is so addicting. I’m constantly on this playing it.

Lists free
I am always making lists so this is a very useful little app for me. I wrote a list of things I need to buy in case of zombie invasion.

Birthday GLEE

March 21st, 2009

davidtennant

MY FRIENDS ARE THE MOST AWESOME PEOPLE IN THE UNIVERSE :D

Turns out my friend Bronwen has a family member (can’t remember exact details, was too busy squeeing and hugging) who works on set and GOT ME DAVID TENNANT’S AUTOGRAPH!!!

HE SPELT MY NAME WRONG! HEE!

I am totally framing this.

In other Birthday orientated news, this picture was scanned in by the lovely Type 40 TT capsule, my new scanner. Also given to me by my friends *makes heart sign thing with fingers*. I’ve named my iPod Isolus, and my parents gave me some MEGA FUNKY heart shaped glasses as well. I had an amazing party shopping where I bought three amazing new outfits and I’m going to have a great day tomorrow stuffing my face with Birthday chocolate. I AM THE HAPPIEST PERSON ON EARTH RIGHT NOW.

I might explode from joy.
